Raines Co. - Your Future is Now Position Summary: The Bar Manager is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Service guests by fulfilling their food and beverage needs and collecting payments. The Bar Manager will teach and manage other bartenders to uphold the same core values of service. Help in development and implementation of a craft cocktail menu focusing on leading the industry by staying ahead of today's trends using top quality ingredients and garnishes. The Bar Manager will be responsible for scheduling and training bar staff, ordering alcohol, and end of month inventory control. The Bar Manager will be the primary bartender and this position will be $hourly+tips!! Essential Job Functions Serve food and drinks for guests using suggestive selling techniques, hold the bar team to our operation standards, and help create cocktail menus to ensure guest satisfaction!

  • Have a thorough knowledge of menus and applicable specials.
  • Ring drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests.
  • Prepare garnishments for drinks.
  • Be able to operate the hotel computer system, Micros.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures along with side work as assigned.
  • Follow proper procedure regarding cash handling, following cash bank reconciliation and end of shift drop.
  • Maintain a clean bar
  • Know and comply with food handling and liquor laws.
  • Engage guests in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Perform all bar setup and restocking/replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
  • Adhere to hotel grooming standards.
  • Assist food and beverage team as situations arise.
  • Resolve guest complains and perform service recover when required (and escalate to immediate supervisor if needed)
  • Schedule bar staff with Bar Manager being primary bartender

Education High school education/GED. Experience Previous experience as a Bar Manager is preferred but professionals with 3 years experience with craft cocktails and high-volume bartending service will be considered. Hours required Scheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Skills and Abilities
  • Must be able to pass TIPS certification/alcohol awareness training and food handler training
  • Knowledge or and ability to operate a computer.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
