Job Description

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you'll play a crucial role in creating high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and blood vessels to support accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a range of echocardiography exams, including stress echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography.
• Use advanced imaging techniques such as 2D, color Doppler, Spectral Doppler, and M-mode imaging.
• Work independently and collaborate with physicians on complex or unexpected findings.
• Oversee patient care during exams, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Provide age-appropriate services for a diverse patient population.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or equivalent, or completion of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program.
• RDCS/RCS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from ARMDS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer from CCI, along with AHA BLS Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of full-time experience in a dedicated echocardiography lab.
• RVT through ARDMS or RVS through CCI, or eligibility to take the registry exam.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in or willing to cross-train for vascular examinations.
• Ability to manage patients, equipment, and supplies with physical dexterity.
• Capable of working independently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in using HIS and CIS computer systems.
• Knowledgeable in operating clinical emergency equipment such as oxygen tanks and suction devices.
