Summary

New Generation Daycare and Learning Center is seeking a passionate, professional cook, that will also do cleaning and driving for the center and willing to work from 7am-4pm or 430pm.

Duties

Job Responsibilities include the following...
Prepare weekly menus that are efficient as possible with supplies on hand (breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack)
� Prepare a grocery list for the following week?s menu
� Keep all surfaces clean
� Maintain 3-step sanitation for washing dishes by hand
� Serve food at designated serving times (not before ? unless agreed upon by director). If food is running late, inform all classroom teachers.
� Food portions need to adhere to the minimum standards for food portions.
� Cleaning areas of the center including bathrooms, center lobby, staff lounge and walkways
� Attend training and staff meetings
� Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with children, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
� Maintains professional attitudes and loyalty to the school.
� Treats all children with dignity and respect.
� Attends all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences.
� Participates in professional workshops that work for the improvement of early childhood education.
� Maintains confidentiality about children, their families, and other employees outside the school.
� Assists the teacher in any other appropriate ways.
� Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director.
The cook may be called in to help with classrooms on occasion. If this is the case, the cook must be able to:
� Be able to change diapers
� Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
� Keep children as clean as possible
� Put the safety of the child first
� Follow the minimum standards for child care licensing
� Maintain accurate, complete and timely records
� Communicate professionally and politely to parents and to children
� Be flexible to helping in areas needed
Lastly, the cook is responsible for transporting children to and from school and field trips using the company bus/van. The cook must have a clean driving record.

� Valid Identification
� Background Checks
� Clear driving record
� TB Test
� Completion of required new hire trainings

Nice To Haves

� H.S Diploma or GED
� Verifiable completion of 24 child related training hours
� Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
� Servsafe Food Manager's certification
