System One is actively seeking an
Electrical Assembly Technician for a temp-to-hire contract position working in Fort Worth, TX.
Electrical Assembly Technician Responsibilities: - Participate in the safe assembly, building, repair, and testing of a variety of new and older mobile oilfield service equipment using both standard and non-standard tools, equipment, and procedures. Exercise considerable judgment to ensure quality, correct parts, and proper procedures are employed.
- Perform electrical and electronics installation, repair, and troubleshooting utilizing drawings, schematics, and a thorough understanding of applicable codes and safety regulations.
- Apply basic knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics, including pumps, valves, and hosing systems, particularly as they pertain to electro-mechanical or electro-hydraulic assemblies. This knowledge is considered an asset.
- Read and interpret equipment assembly specifications, including charts, schematics, blueprints, and typed instructions and details.
- Report technical problems encountered during projects to the Crew Chief for resolution.
- Engage in regular shop/yard organization and cleanliness exercises.
- Train new employees in assembly operations as required.
- Complete and maintain various records and documentation.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently or as part of a team on complex and multiple projects, applying judgment to resolve issues effectively.
- Familiarize yourself with operation controls, including safe working practices and job hazard analysis relevant to specific work tasks.
- Adhere to all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs, including process maps, support processes, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Supply your own tools; a minimum recommendation list is available. The company will lend some atypical tools for temporary use, which can be signed out through the tool crib service.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience: - High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of experience in the field or demonstrated competency in a related field.
- Experience or equivalent knowledge in electronics, electrical code, safety practices, and electrical blueprint and schematic reading.
- Ability to work with 12 - 24-volt DC circuits, including wire termination and crimps.
- Proficiency in control wire diagnosis with electrical boards/solenoids, encoders, pressure, and temperature transducers.
- Some experience with single-phase residential wiring is required but is only a small percentage of the work. Residential experience will be considered a bonus.
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) and its application.
- Experience with light/switch wiring, receptacle/outlet wiring, and HVAC wiring.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams is essential.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of employees and departments.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Emphasis on automotive-type electrical wiring rather than construction-type work.

Contract Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Hourly Pay Rate: $20 - $25 / hr dependent on experience
Work Schedule: M-F 6:00 am - 2:45 pm (Optional Saturdays as extra work comes available)
