Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ER Nurse to join a great Emergency room team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing diagnostic evaluations, and managing acute medical situations. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Room setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
• Perform basic life support and advanced life support as necessary.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations to determine the nature of patients' conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Insert IVs and manage intravenous therapy for patients requiring fluids or medications.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly.
• Assist in pain management strategies for patients experiencing acute pain.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and care plans.
• Participate in behavioral health assessments and interventions as needed.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Experience working in an Emergency Room or similar acute care setting preferred.
• Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) certification; advanced certifications such as ACLS may be required.
• Familiarity with outpatient procedures and inpatient care protocols.
• Strong skills in patient care, including IV insertion techniques and pain management strategies.
• Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor during emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Shifts Available: Night Shift positions ; Rotating every 3rd weekend
