Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Intern to join our finance team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of equities trading and broker-dealer services. The intern will assist with financial reporting, account reconciliation, and contribute to various projects in compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements
• Support daily accounting tasks, including journal entries and ledger maintenance
• Participate in monthly and quarterly closing processes
• Collaborate with the accounting team in the reconciliation of trading accounts
• Help in the preparation of tax documents and compliance reports
• Engage in special projects related to financial planning and risk assessment
• Work closely with senior accountants and financial analysts to understand the broker-dealer operations

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong academic record and a fundamental understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Availability to work full-time during the summer
• Ability to commute to Midtown Manhattan (office located next to Penn Station)
• Self-starter with ability to tackle any assigned projects
• SAT and/or ACT scores must be submitted with application to be considered
• $39/hour pay rate
