Job Description

The role is an SG&A Financial Analyst for a growing public company with businesses that range in function from manufacturing to Software-as-a-Service and digital products. The role is an integral part of the Corporate FP&A team and will report to the SG&A Financial Manager. This position will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting on SG&A plans, forecasts, and budgets working in collaboration with shared services and other SG&A budget owners. The successful candidate is a self-motivator with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. They should have strong knowledge of financial reporting practices along with strong analytical and communication skills. They will enjoy taking on ad-hoc projects, new challenges, and show a strong dedication to achieving project deliverables within tight timelines.

 

Responsibilities :

  • Manage monthly and quarterly SG&A management reporting processes, Headcount Reporting, coordinate with leaders and accounting to gather and consolidate monthly reporting, analyze short-term and long-term trends
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning for SG&A
  • Analyze results and prepare variance analyses comparing actual results to budget and forecast
  • Prepare and analyze key performance indicators and other data for use in business decisions by leadership
  • Supports development of new reports and refreshes existing reports as backup for quarter end, board meetings, and other senior leadership meetings
  • Create ad-hoc analyses to provide insights and drive decisions by leadership
  • Supports other FP&A team deliverables and additional tasks as assigned
  • Effective communication skills including the ability to summarize complex information in a concise and simplified manner
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use technology and research to gather data and generate financial reports

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; financial reporting system (PBCS, HFM) experience a plus

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 1-2 years’ experience in financial analysis, developing financial reporting and analyzing results
  • Experience budgeting and forecasting a strong plus

  • This role has latitude to make decisions to deliver against objectives as defined by their manager and other leaders
