Responsibilities: • Open, close, maintain, and restock the cafe following established protocols. • Prepare and serve food, beverages, and specialty coffee drinks. • Greet and engage with customers, matching their energy and creating a welcoming experience. • Upsell menu items and work towards individual and team sales goals. • Keep the cafe clean, including dining areas, kitchen, and restrooms. • Hand out flyers, offer samples, and encourage positive reviews on Google or Yelp. • Suggest and implement improvements to enhance operations and customer satisfaction. • Collaborate with team members and stay open to learning new skills. Qualifications: • Ability to have a conversational-level discussion with clients in English. • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of customers. • Enthusiasm for learning new skills and adapting to new challenges. • Interest in contributing to a fun, team-oriented work culture. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. • Ability to stand for up to 6.5 hours continuously. • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds. • Ability to perform basic math with United States currency, including handling transactions accurately. • Proficiency in teamwork, with a willingness to assist colleagues as needed. • Positive and energetic attitude, with a commitment to creating a welcoming environment. • Proactive disposition, with a focus on identifying and solving problems. • Good personal hygiene and adherence to cleanliness standards. • Commitment to following directions, protocols, and rules. Preferred Qualifications • Fluency in English, including speaking and writing. • Serve Safe Certification or willingness to obtain it. • Ability to speak in Spanish. • Previous experience in a restaurant, cafe, or similar hospitality setting. • Openness to participating in events or promotional activities. • Comfort with upselling products and working toward sales goals.
