Wait, what's a game master ? A game master is a fun, spirited, reliable, smart, and KIND person who greets customers, checks them in for their game, goes over the rules and recites a compelling story/mission. The game master then starts and monitors the game remotely, provides appropriate, typed assistance ("clues") as they are requested, and shares in the team's victory dance when they WIN! 

Annnd... there's also sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, taking out trash, and the occasional use of a power tool to fix a problem. We're also building new games, so if you have some special skills you want to offer to speed up the process, that's great!

Now to the specifics of our candidate search:

• Must be 18+ and be able to pass a drug and background check. References are required and will be checked.
• Must live within a 10-minute drive from Chandler Blvd & Alma School (Chandler positions) or Baseline and Sossaman (Mesa position)
• Must be a reliable person AND have reliable transportation.
• You HAVE to be comfortable speaking in front of groups and taking charge of the room. Lead with confidence, professionalism, and humor (drama/theater/acting backgrounds are encouraged to apply!)
• Ability to read the room: understand social cues and interact accordingly
• Evenings, weekends (Fri-Sun), and holidays are REQUIRED. Additional availability during weekdays is a plus! Time-off is not allowed Thanksgiving weekend nor during the week between Christmas and New Year's day.
• Must be a team-player and willing to jump in and help when and where needed
• This is a really fun and easy job, but you do have to be able to memorize clue and puzzle placements and game introductions (and improv when necessary)
• Must take pride in yourself. Your workspace, your appearance, your job performance, etc. Uniform not required, but dress code enforced
• Must have some bills to pay
• Be an honest and conscientious person with integrity
• Special interest from us to consider applicants who have already played our games and/or have already been a game master at other escape rooms.
