Job Information

As a Buyer on the Factory Operations Procurement Team, you will be highly involved in supporting many aspects of the manufacturing processes; representing the Procurement Organization in a multitude of interactions both internally and externally.  You will build strong, value adding relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional departments such as finance, operations, engineering, legal, and IT. 

Role & Responsibility

Sourcing

• Conduct RFXs independently or with support of Category Leaders / Sourcing Managers.
• Solicit proposals and quotes from suppliers.
• Assist in negotiation of terms & conditions, delivery lead times, and pricing.

Purchasing

• Assist stakeholders in navigating the procurement process.
• Create and manage purchase orders.
• Coordinate receipt of goods and services.
• Facilitate payment of invoices.
• Monitor and resolve payment holds.

Supplier Maintenance

• Add, edit, and deactivate supplier base.
• Onboard new suppliers.
• Assist suppliers in navigating procurement system.
• Contract Management
• Process NDAs.
• Manage contract execution.
• Coordinate legal review of contacts.
• Archive and retrieve contract documentation.

Category Management

• Work closely with Category Leaders and Sourcing Managers to provide information, develop strategies, interact with stakeholders, and resolve issues.
• Advise Category Leaders and Sourcing Managers of potential issues that could adversely affect the supply of goods and services.
• Identify, communicate, and execute process improvements.

Job Requirement

• Education Requirement: Bachelors degree in related field 
• Experience Requirement: 0>2 years experience
• Travel Requirement: Less than 10% 
• Ability to assess the economic impacts of supplier tooling costs, lead times, and unit costs
• PC Skills, Excel, Oracle, Power Point
• Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
