Job Description

ARU is seeking skilled and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Property Inspectors. In this role, you will conduct post-binding inspections of commercial properties within the agricultural sector. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate properties of varying complexity and value, ensuring thorough documentation and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspection Scheduling & Communication: Coordinate with property owners and insured parties to schedule inspections and collect comprehensive property and building details.
• Travel: Perform local travel to inspection sites, with opportunities for extended travel assignments for those willing.
• Inspection Execution: Utilize our proprietary app, Loss Control Plus, to conduct inspections. This includes capturing real-time photos and answering property-related questions.
• Documentation: Take detailed interior and exterior photos of all structures and document any hazards observed during the inspection.
• Timeliness & Thoroughness: Ensure all inspections are completed in a timely and detailed manner, adhering to ARU's high standards of quality.

Compensation:

• Inspection Fees: $300 to $500 per completed inspection, based on the size and type of the account.
• Mileage Reimbursement: Federal minimum rate for travel to and from inspection sites.

Minimum Requirements:

• Technology: Smartphone or tablet for app use.
• Transportation: Reliable vehicle for traveling to job sites.
• Tools: Basic tools such as a tape measure, commercial-grade flashlight or headlamp, and a level with an angle finder. Occasional use of an infrared scanner, ladder, and/or camera pole/selfie stick may be required.
• Experience: At least 1 year of inspection experience is required. Preference for commercial inspection experience, with agricultural inspection experience considered a significant asset. 
• Training : Able to attend webinar with ARU’s Loss Control team.
