J ob Description:

The Department of Psychology at the University of Mount Saint Vincent seeks adjunct faculty to teach two (2) sections of Introduction to Psychology on the following days and times:

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:30pm to 3:55pm and from 4:05pm to 5:30pm.
  • Classes begin Monday, August 26, 2024 and end the week of December 11, 2024.
  • All classes are in-person and require two (2) hours of office hours per week, in-person or online.

Course Description:

INTRODUCTION TO PSYCHOLOGY I (PSYC 103) . This course provides students with a fundamental grasp of the research, principles, and theories of psychology. Students will acquire a better understanding of their behavior through such topics as development, learning, memory, personality, social behavior, abnormal behavior and therapy.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a graduate degree (M.A or Ph.D.) in Psychology.
  • Teaching experience in higher education is strongly preferred
