Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background with experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing preventative maintenance and addressing equipment malfunctions.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines and equipment to remove defective parts, using various tools and hoists.
• Perform routine maintenance, including inspecting drives, motors, belts, and fluid levels.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues by referring to blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
• Repair machinery and equipment using tools such as hammers, saws, drills, wrenches, and precision instruments.
• Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments using hand tools and other measuring instruments.
• Plan and execute repair work based on diagrams, blueprints, and maintenance manuals. • Inspect used parts to determine dimensional changes using calipers, micrometers, or similar instruments.
Qualifications and skills:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or plant maintenance.
· Experience with steel stamping and forming presses is a plus.
· Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic knowledge.
· Welding, fabricating, and machining experience is a plus.
· Trade school experience is a plus.
· Proficient in electrical trades and capable of operating cutting torches or welding equipment (preferred).
· Ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
