Summary
Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Sales, the Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the marketing communications plan. This person will be responsible for all aspects of corporate identity, website management, sales and product collateral, press and analyst relations, tradeshows and events, and e-mail marketing. Specific responsibilities include:
Managing the implementation of a new corporate identity, including corporate collateral, style guide, and brand look and feel.
Overseeing the corporate website including content creation, development and maintenance
Managing outside PR agency and handling day-to-day PR activities. This includes press releases, industry analyst relations, and contributed article content.
Supporting advertising sales operations, including media kit development, website content for advertisers, and sales promotion programs
Managing the development and execution of client e-mail newsletters.
Managing tradeshows, conferences, seminars and webinars
Contributing to market research/assessment, business development, strategic planning, and partnerships, including competitive research, market research, content partnerships.
The Marketing Communications Manager will be possess excellent communications skills, be energetic, highly organized, think strategically and understand business drivers. The successful candidate will be a team player, be resourceful and a self-starter, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. To achieve results, the Marketing Communications Manager will need to be comfortable cultivating new partnerships, managing multiple projects at once, and committed to meeting aggressive business goals. She/he will also need to effectively manage vendors to deliver results.
Required Skills and Experience
5+ years of successful marketing communications experience, preferably in the web publishing, search engine, or interactive marketing space; consumer healthcare experience a definite plus.
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple, high-detail, deadline-sensitive projects with a high level of quality.
Ability to manage and maintain multiple projects at once
Ability to work across the organization, interacting with business development, engineering, search marketing, finance, and product management
Proven ability to provide leadership and oversight to outsource agencies providing various design and marketing services.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
High level of energy and an enthusiastic team player.
Desire to work in a small team environment to ensure its success and the success of the company
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
