Marketing Intern

Engel & Völkers is a global luxury brand specializing in residential and commercial real estate and yachting. Founded in Hamburg, Germany in 1977, Engel & Völkers now includes over 1000 brokerages in 34 countries across five continents. Engel & Völkers Americas supports a network of premium residential real estate brokerages throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean and is responsible for the firm’s ongoing expansion in additional markets. We are seeking a Marketing Intern for our Americas headquarters located on Park Avenue in New York City. This intern will receive exposure across marketing functions, including copywriting, content management, social media, marketing operations, and customer support. From our Senior Leadership Team to affiliated network members, you will have an opportunity to interact with all levels of the organization.

 

Reporting to the Vice President of Digital Marketing, the ideal candidate should have some experience working with technology platforms, such as Content Management Systems (Wordpress, Drupal), Analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), Advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager), and/or Service Management software (JIRA, Freshdesk). Most importantly, applicants should be prepared to learn on the job, adapt to a fluid environment, and be willing to tackle tasks as assigned by your fellow marketing team members.

 

This position is for 15 hours per week and pays $18 per hour as a paid internship. In addition, you will receive on the job training from an award-winning marketing team for a top tier brand in one of the world’s largest, most impactful industries. 

Your responsibilities include  

  • Content creation and copywriting with a focus on web and social media
  • Content management and auditing of existing content across our suite of websites
  • Tracking and reporting on marketing initiatives
  • Providing second level support for users experiencing issues with products and programs owned by the digital marketing team, including CMS and CRM.
  • Assist in the upkeep of databases and reports
  • Perform technical tasks to support both corporate and network websites 
  • Review property submissions to ensure they fit brand criteria to display on digital platforms 
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects associated with philanthropic initiatives and additional marketing initiatives as required


Looking For

  • Majoring in Marketing, Communications, Media or related fields. 
  • You have strong writing skills and a passion for crafting high-level, digital content designed to inform and engage. 
  • You are comfortable working with tech platforms and are able to absorb and follow technical processes.
  • You like to take initiative, roll up your sleeves and “get things done”. 
  • You take pride in organizing your work to meet ambitious deadlines without sacrificing attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • You enjoy working in a team and still have the ability to work independently
  • You are never afraid to take on new challenges, independently solve problems when you are able, and ask for help when you need it.
