Essential Job Duties
Submit initial claims for services accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulations to ensure appropriate reimbursements.
Resolve issues with problem accounts and payer denials by submitting corrected claims and following up on any necessary responses.
Manage billing and collection of payments for counseling clinics and employed/contracted providers.
Maintain knowledge of Out-Patient Mental Health billing codes, modifiers, and payer requirements.
Participate in payer audits as required.
Act as a liaison between clients and clinicians regarding insurance or billing inquiries.
Demonstrate professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork.
Perform additional duties as assigned within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Experience: At least three years of experience in billing/e-billing, preferably in a multi-provider practice, hospital, or mental health office.
Location: This is a remote position, with priority given to applicants from Central Oregon.

Proficiency in operating office equipment and various software programs (Google, SharePoint, Microsoft, EMR/EHR).
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Background Check Requirement
A background check will be conducted on all hires, and employment is contingent upon passing this check.

Compensation and Benefits: Starting at $23.00 per hour, with potential for an increase after a satisfactory review (within the first 90 days). An additional 5% pay incentive for bilingual candidates (Spanish).
