Job Title:                                                     R&D Mechanical Engineer, Prin

Job Location:                                              2550 Country Club Dr, Carrollton, TX 75006

Duties:                                                             

Responsibilities include: Provides engineering guidance and uses advanced engineering techniques to meet complex design criteria. Leads programs by establishing project development plans and approving design documents that follow Health, Safety, and Environment processes. Develops custom equations and solutions using various engineering tools. Provides recommendations for tests results and assists with complex tests. Reviews and assesses appropriate standards, regulations, and specifications for testing and reliability analysis on projects and processes. Delivers innovative Intellectual Property recommendations for Halliburton and reviews technical papers. Provides technical expertise to meet internal and external customer needs and requirements. Represents Halliburton in professional societies in area of specialization. Domestic travel required 25% of the time.

Requirements:                                        Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a R&D Mechanical Engineering related occupation.

Position also requires:

  1. Experience with Downhole Completion Tool Design
  2. Experience with back-office software e.g. SAP for the purpose of providing manufacturing support through quality checks, tracking logistics of parts as part of prototype design process and finding run history of previously developed tools
  3. Experience with SolidWorks and ancillary Dessault Systems Software
  4. Experience with design software programs such as MathCad, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. for the purpose of creating analytical models of designed downhole tool components
  5. Experience with FMEA generation & Risk Assessments
  6. Experience with Product Development Tools such as Fracas, TapRoot, Parsable, aPriori Design for Manufacturing, etc.
  7. Experience with Technical Writing for the purpose of delivering detailed technical reports of tests completed and for project close out final communication
