Position Overview:
We are looking for a Remote Estimator to provide estimates for a variety of projects. The estimator will use their knowledge of Multifamily, Commercial Doors & Hardware, and eMullion(e/PWS) to effectively determine the cost of materials, labor, and other project costs. This role requires the estimator to collaborate with the team to assess customer needs and develop quotes that offer the best value to the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect required data and analyze project information and requirements to create accurate estimates
- Conduct research to understand project scope and develop an estimate based on specific requirements
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide accurate estimates
- Calculate labor, material, and other project costs and develop a comprehensive cost proposal
- Analyze and identify risks, cost savings, and value engineering opportunities
- Monitor and track project schedules and budgets
- Provide timely updates to project stakeholders on cost estimates and progress
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with estimating in the construction industry
- Proficient understanding of eMullion (e/PWS), or related softwares like AVAware, Software for Hardware, Comsense or other similar tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work on a remote basis
