ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a motivated mixed-methods (qualitative and quantitative) UX researcher with excellent communication and people skills to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a renowned leader in the AR/VR industry, where you will have the chance to shape cutting-edge products and technologies. This position will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including other UX researchers, hardware, and software professionals, to explore and define the next generation of immersive experiences. Your role will be critical in driving measurable positive impacts on product design and user experience.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
- Conduct a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including internal and external literature review, ethnographic observation, contextual inquiry, interviews, usability studies, experimentation, and survey research.
- Plan and execute research that collects and synthesizes both objective and subjective data to inform the development of cohesive hardware and software experiences, particularly in AR/MR/VR/AI interactions.
- Manage and prioritize research plans in dynamic and evolving environments, aligning critical insights with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Develop and adapt innovative research methodologies for new interaction or product categories.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners, such as industrial design, UX design, hardware and software engineering, and product management, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the user experience.
- Coordinate with research assistants to run multiple studies in parallel and deliver impactful insights.
- Communicate research findings effectively to stakeholders, using creative and compelling methods to illustrate suggestions.
- Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering, and marketing teams to generate insights that fuel ideation and evaluate designs.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research settings, or product research and development, OR a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR a PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative UX research methods.
- Experience in conducting research for AR/VR or similar advanced technologies.
- Strong ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Experience working in fast-paced, innovative environments.
- Demonstrated success in applying research insights to product development and improving user experiences.
- Interest and expertise in AR/VR technologies and their applications.
