Job Description

O2DCA is currently seeking a Lead Developer who will be responsible for collaborating with a talented team to develop unique solutions, building out solutions utilizing the best language/platform, advising on the creation of a project plan, and seeing the project through from conception to completion. The Lead Developer will work closely with the Project Managers to assist with thorough discovery, fact-finding, and information gathering. Responsibilities: Collaborating with a team of web developers to produce high-quality software solutions Guiding Junior Developers to ensure they are utilizing a deep understanding of best coding practices and agency-established protocols when developing Building & maintaining client websites, CRMs, applications, & custom software solutions Designing & developing scalable, reliable, and efficient software applications using PHP and other technologies Utilizing HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and Apache, among other languages Ensuring that software solutions meet industry standards and are compatible with different browsers, devices, and operating systems. Investigating and resolving technical issues and defects in software solutions Performing code reviews and providing technical guidance to team members Developing within a Linux Environment and on the Command Line Work closely and collaboratively with a team of skilled developers and project managers to plan, develop, and release work across digital platforms Knowledge of today's development standards Analysis of website structures and existing code for improvements Participation and contribution in Team Meetings Ability to collaborate with Project Managers to provide insight on project plans and deadlines Comfortability working in an Agile framework and communicating with a team Ability to develop in an OOP style Time management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, prioritize, and adapt to changing priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail Willingness to continuously learn and maintain consistent up-to-date industry knowledge Ability to work independently and in a team environment Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field At least 5 years of experience in PHP development Proven experience leading a team of developers Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies Experience with MySQL and database design Extensive experience with GIT Experience with developing WordPress Plugins Extensive experience in developing APIs using various protocols and frameworks is a must for this position Familiarity with database design and modeling concepts Perks as an O2DCA Team Member Hybrid work environment with in-office workdays Generous percentage Employer-Paid medical and dental plan offerings Retirement Plan options 3 Weeks Paid Time Off (PTO) 11 Paid Holidays Incredibly talented and inspiring colleagues who know how to blend their creative endeavors into their work Positive, Uplifting, Relaxed working environment Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan
